First week of the second edition

EUDRES I LIVING LAB - 2022 "How Robotics can help the microalgae cultivation in bio-waste recycling".

In our first meeting we met the lab team and the EE, that stands for Educational Entrepreneurs, we talked about the topic that we will approach into the following weeks, and i couldn’t be more excited!

We discussed our hopes and expectations on what to expect from this challenge, what we hope to develop during our meetings and getting to know our lab teams.

My lab team mates are all of them from different nationalities such as: Malaysia, Romania, Austria and Belgium.

So first thing we made, was a challenge on which future skills we want to improve during this project, we had to choose three from the table beyond.

The challenge consisted on choosing 3 future skills, discuss it with a random partner and then introduce it to the all team. I chose, Design thinking, Communication and Ambiguity. We had to classify where our level was, with mine were 2 for every option instead of communication that i classified with a level 3, i have to say that if i had to classify them all now i would dare to say that they are all solid level 4. I felt a huge improvement with the outgoing of the project.

Now that i look back i think that i not only improve these skills that i wanted to, but way more, such as cooperation, we all had to deal with challenges because the different schedules and in the design process.

This first meeting EE introduced the topic and taught us about Robotics and Microalgae fundamentals.

Our topic is “How robotics can help the microalgae cultivation in bio-waste recycling", later on we would get more into the topic.

In the finale of this first amazing meeting, the EE proposed to us to do a personal card that would do a resumé of us, with hobbies, passions, a little about us and so on, and encourage us to interact with team mates to get to know them better "break the ice" with each other.
